Jeremiah Berryhill

HSHP, Class of 2009

Midwestern State University- Class of 2013

Athletic Training

"Therapy careers introduced me to Athletic Training. I was fortunate to have found what I wanted to do before getting to college. It allowed me to focus on that one career and not have to spend years in college undecided. Therapy careers also gave me a solid foundation of which I would build on further in college."

Ajah Ross

Texas Woman’s University &

University of Texas @ Arlington- Class of 2019

Exercise Science

"We pretty much covered everything that I’ve covered in my college classes. I would always stop and wonder in other classes, when I would use the stuff I was learning and I can honestly say I’ve used just about everything. My roommate and I even used to tape each other in our dorm."

Tyler Townes

HSHP, Class of 2015

Texas State University- Class of 2019

Health & Wellness Promotion

"Sports Medicine has helped me a lot though because a lot of the material that we covered in high school was a review once I got to college. There were some classes I didn’t have to study for because I knew the information already. It also prepared me for real life. The skills that Mrs. Morgan taught us were way deeper than high school."

Marielena Castro

Athletic Training Major

"Sports Medicine really helped me in seeing what an athletic trainer does and what is expected of them. In this class, you gain knowledge on different subjects that are really useful in college related to your major. Students should take advantage of the opportunities that these clusters give you. Mrs. Morgan is really such a great teacher!!"

"I love when the interns come. They are so educated and their professionalism is impeccable. They are always eager to learn and excited to put their skills to work. My own students were impressed by their knowledge and skill set. In the past, I've had students mistake them for college students or teachers. I am really impressed with the work Ms. Morgan is doing. I look forward to working with them in the future."

Chas Kaiser, LAT

"I have had nothing but positive experiences with the sports medicine students from Townview High School. All of the students that I have interacted have been respectful, responsible, hard working, and eager to learn. The students are very knowledgeable and skilled in sports medicine. They are also very eager to put their knowledge and skills to use in the clinical setting."

Pedro J. Rodriguez M.Ed, LAT

Athletic Trainer

Skyline High School

"Yvonne Morgan does an incredible job with her students. They are always very prepared and bring their A-game every time they work at Spruce High School. Always very polite, but EAGER to learn. I have been very impressed with their overall presentation. They come dressed professionally every time, bring the right attitude, come prepared with their own medical kit, and bring with them a great foundation of medical knowledge to build on. It is exciting for me as a professional that has been in the sports medicine field for almost 10 years to know that these young people are the future of not only sports medicine, but all fields of medicine."

James C. Brady, MS, PT
